Digging by Seamus Heaney, Catrin by Gillian Clarke, Little male child disordered, Little son Found by William Blake and On My First give-and-take by Ben Jonson.POEMSThe four songs that I have chosen to study be Digging by SeamusHeaney, Catrin by Gillian Clarke, Little Boy Lost, Little Boy Found byWilliam Blake and On My First Son by Ben Jonson. only of theses poemsexpress an go forth of love and atomic number 18 all indirectly colligate by some way oranother on the issue of love. Digging is a poem about admiration, howSeamus Heaney as a youthful boy looks up to his predecessors and how hehasNo spade to follow hands wish well them (Line 28 digging)Catrin has a basic structure of love that is beseeming more and morecommon in todays world, and that is activated love. Catrin doesntshow love for her child but it is still a bond between them and cannever be low-toned. There are two lines in catrin which dispute thisidea. From the hearts pool that old rope, alter about my lif e (lines25-26 catrin)The emotional love shall never be broken despite there being noapparent love. The other quote being linesOur first confrontation, the tight red rope of love which we bothfought over.(Lines 7-9 catrin)The umbilical cord holding the two together.Little Boy Lost Little Boy Found, this poem has love within the familyand the desperation of a father to find his son again, eventually hedoes and he is metaphorically spoken of as god.But god ever nigh appeared like his father in white. (Lines 3-4Little boy found)On my first son is about a child growing up and leaving the come nearfor the father is upset that his humble boy has grown up and he can nolong be with him all the time. This is made liberate by line eight. And if no other misery, yet date (Line 8 On my first son)This comments on the only misery being age and explains the wholepoem.I have chosen Digging and Catrin because I shade I understand both thepoems much better.Digging is a poem about childhood. The whole poem is triggered by afew senses, these being the sound and smell of a spade slicing throughthe earth. It is as if the poet Seamus Heaney is sat at his window andis stuck on what to write. There is a somatogenic tie of respect in hisfamily. He loves and admires his grandfather and father and rememberslittle things such as carrying out tasks as simple as carrying him
